Attend Our Session

“Engaging eLearning – Getting hitched to great ideas”

Date: TBD
Time: TBD
Presenter: Robert Parrott, Director, Custom Learning Solutions

There’s nothing a Developer loves more than having the right tools for the work in front of them. They’re not afraid of hard work; but working smarter, not harder, is preferable. In this session, our team of scrappy multimedia specialists share their favorite shortcuts, coding tricks, tips, and life hacks to make asynchronous course development smoother for customers, project teams, and learners alike. Their lengthy experience with engaging technologies like Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, Camtasia, Vyond, and more have become the kind of best practices tool set that fellow content creators will want to marry to their own work.
Ever wonder what needs to be in your project templates, how early to think about accessibility, or where you can shave hours without compromising your project? We’re ready to share, compare, and dare you not to learn something new you’ll love too.
During the presentation, we'll play some recorded messages from various development experts highlighting unique issues and their creative solutions. The in-person presenter will then demonstrate the solution in real time and/or show helpful variations so all attendees can leave with at least one way to apply a tip to their tasks regardless of the size of the project, government vs commercial work requirements, tool limitations, etc. As appropriate, sample code, templates, and files will be made available, too.

    In this session, participants will:
  • Review examples of common design and development challenges
  • Learn creative ways to address those challenges while saving everyone time and money
  • Discover ways to measure the impact of these improvements to their development workflow

FEATURED WEBINAR

On Demand: The Power of Practice: How training programs can use experiential learning to achieve proficiency faster

Professional football coaches know better than to simply hand a rookie the playbook and expect them to immediately become a productive member of the team. yet many federal agencies do exactly this when onboarding new (or new-to career) employees. this 30-minute roundtable discussion centers on how building a training program that incorporates practice, strength/weakness assessments, and experiential learning can sharply reduce your new employees time to proficiency.

You will hear firsthand from senior federal managers about the proven approaches and components they have found effective in training programs. these best practices, employed in private sector and sports alike, give new hires a chance to become contributing team members faster, with less risk, and with less burden on the hiring manager than the traditional on-the-job training approach.
